For those of you interested in how I schedule our days, we have our first homeschooling break coming up at the end of this month. We’ve done well with getting the daily academic subjects done so this week off is well deserved.

It’s too bad we’ve had so much rain. Today’s apple picking excursion is cancelled and plans to go to the pumpkin patch tomorrow aren’t looking too good. At least we have a birthday party today to get sugared up on just in time for bed. That should be fun (she said sarcasticly ha-ha-ha).

Most importantly, I’m doing the single-parent thing until late Sunday. Doc jets to Florida tonight to visit his parents. And I get the bed, the TV remote and the secret chocolate stash all to myself. I also don’t get a break from dealing with them. It’s all Mommy, all weekend. Sounds like a bad reality TV show.

Well, enough hiding in the computer. Let’s get something done.
