Unabridged!! Sometimes you just need to hear the beauty of the spoken word. I think a hobbit would agree. I'm not sure what I was doing in my teens to have missed them. Recently I read the whole thing aloud to my kids! Wow did I read all four books? I guess I must have? Anyway I got a lot more out of them reading them aloud. Wonderful, wonderful books.
