Today is the 5th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Bloggers throughout the blogosphere are uniting today to remember the 2,996 lives lost on that horrific, Indian summer day.
I remember Zandra Cooper Ploger.
Zandra – wife, mother, friend – was aboard American Airlines Flight 77 that crashed into the Pentagon.
According to the article at the The Washington Post website, she and her husband were traveling to Hawaii for a delayed honeymoon. If you follow these links, you will read testimonies from those who knew her and I’m sure still feel the pain of her loss.
Zandra Cooper Ploger. Wife. Mother. Friend. She liked mystery books, cats and loved to plan parties. There is still so much about her I don’t know. What was her favorite ice cream? Did she like the beach? Did she have a dog? Where did she like to go on vacation?
I never knew her this side of eternity. I can only pray her family is finding comfort and healing today.
I remember Zandra Cooper Ploger. I will not forget the fallen of that day. May the Lord give comfort and healing that only He can provide.

I was best friends with Zandra’s daughter Zena all through HS. Zandra was fun. I remember her throwing a party and letting Zena and I serve the party. We dressed in black and served the food. We had a blast. She would let me sleep over when ever I wanted which was a lot! LOL They had a cat, no dog. She was a wonderful lady And I loved her and her girls. She would be so proud of Zena, and of Erin.
