Click here for my Ultimate Blog Party post. We’re getting to know one another and talking about Twitter, a fun way for bloggers to keep track of each other. Come join the fun!
Twitter is something I just don’t understand. Can you explain the draw? Why would I want to Twitter? Or more importantly, how could Twitter fit with an online publication?
You might not like Twitter, Mark. How are you at small talk in a crowded room?
Twitter is great for bloggers, not so much for an ezine. All those little, goofy things that are too trivial for a blog post fit nicely into a Twitter. It’s a good writing exercise too. You get 140 characters to be witty, descriptive and fascinating, so all of Twitterdom wants to follow you. And I guess that’s the point – to get a following. It’s all social networking now.
I “follow” several midwest Family Life pastors that seem to have way too much time on their hands. I know when they are going to lunch, how they like to cut their hair, and how long they have gone without a shower because of no hot water at home. Great stuff. I also follow one writer I’d love to meet.
You’re just an editor. You can’t be much busier than a pastor, so I think you should go for it.

And obviously, I’m not a mom blogger. Dad bloggers aren’t too far removed in philosophy, though. : )
Look at me! I’m the new evangelist for Twitter.
