My Twitter prayer group

If you follow me on Twitter, then you know what’s been going on around here these last few days. Since last Wednesday, my husband’s left elbow has been suffering from this funky infection. He went to the Medimerge near his work Thursday, then back Friday, and then to our hospital emergency room Saturday, which threatened my weekend plans (see two posts down for more about that).

When Doc left for the hospital, I hooked up with a sitter, cleaned the house like a whirlwind because now that a non-family member was coming, I needed it to look presentable. Isn’t that the way it is with a houseful of kids? Quick! So-and-so is coming, let’s clear a path so they can sit down.

And moments before I was to walk out the door – husband calls to say he is on the way home, no sitter needed.

Husbands are good for last minute spontaneity, aren’t they?

Twitter is good for spontaneous prayer requests too. Thanks to those Twitterfolk who responded to my request Saturday morning, my family appreciates it. The ER doctor wanted to see my husband back again today for a follow up. He missed church, but is home now snuggled on the couch watching Indiana Jones with the kids. Thanks again, Twitters.
