I just read To Kill a Mockingbird this past year. Now I understand why it is what it is.

I’m glad I didn’t read it earlier in life.

As a high school English teacher, I’m ashamed that some teacher in your experience played a movie without first reading the book!

Debbie, I agree. Reading is so much more richer an experience when you have a lifetime of your own to bring to the book. Good point.

Personally, I think reading “classics” like “To Kill a Mockingbird” are better read when we are older. Don’t ya think? or maybe they just bring different perspectives at different ages…
whichever…it’s a good book.

I just read TKAM last year. I guess I read it in school. It did intrigue me.

And clutter–I could always use some help with clutter.

Mockingbird ranks up there as a fave of mine. What I love is what I get from reading it again … and again at different ages/stages of my life. I love a book that can make me see with new eyes again and again.
