Guess what I did today?
Sorry for the washed out image, but I just had to share, like I’m a proud mama showing off her baby. This is my Zeke. Okay, truthfully he’s only mine for the two hour rental. But it sort of counts, right?
Don’t let his laid back apprearance fool you. My Zeke flies like the wind. You know the saying, “Give him and inch and he’ll take a mile?” Well, give this equine an open beach, point him in the right direction and hang on, ’cause Zeke can turn it on.
You will be happy to know I can stick to a horse. No face full of sand for me. And I had to arrive back to the barn dry and smiling. My family was waiting.

Argh! I missed posting this by two minutes. So much for NaBloPoMo for me. Rats.

Horseback riding on the beach? That looks way too fun.
And I wouldn’t worry about the nanoblogmoforeveryday thing. We’ll count you as an honorary winner.
I just glad you didn’t cut the horseback ride short to get another blog post written.

Yes, this is now a North Carolina Thanksgiving weekend tradition. Doc takes the kids and I get two glorious hours on horseback.
My next horseback riding fantasy to be fulfilled: riding in the mists and green countryside of Ireland.
(And I screwed up on NaBloPoMo because I checked the time on a clock running 20 minutes slow. One minute I thought I had plenty of time, then suddenly, it was past midnight. I thought of fudging the time, but decided that was lame. No lame horses or blog posting for me.)
Looks like fun! I love horseback riding. Great idea for a tradition.
