Torch held high: home schoolers visit Lady Liberty

Lady Liberty. She’s witnessed so much from where she has stood. Hope, joy, freedom. Pain, evil, hate. Today – a bittersweet day as I watched my children enjoy chasing the gulls and looking over the harbor to Manhattan.

You can’t help but remember when your eyes scan the downtown.

The Statue of Liberty – she testifies well enough on her own, so I’m going to get out of the way now and let my video her do the talking.

  1. Thanks for sharing your video! She sure has seen a lot from her vantage point, hasn’t she? Looks like you and your family had a great visit to Lady Liberty!!

  2. glad you all like it! I wonder why I can’t see my own video anymore?? odd.

(Heather, I take the Flip with me everywhere! You never know when inspiration to record will strike)

  3. Looks like you had fantastic weather.

The NYC skyline looks so empty, unremarkable now. I like how you travel in front of the statue to get there, so you get the whole effect. Great Video.
