Being the one to lead music at our VBS, I don't know if I would have the stamina to do it all summer. But I love that the kids get to hear the Gospel through the stories, memory verses, music, crafts, and even the games and snacks! When our daughter is older, I will be ensuring that she has friends at several churches, just so she can attend several weeks of VBS each summer. I've never heard of a church having ADULT classes during VBS. That is such a wonderful idea, kudos to your church fellowship for pursuing the whole family. Melissa... I know, I know! As a Pastor's Wife & Kids Ministry Director I shudder a bit at the details of having VBS all summer, but I totally agree...it is one ROCKIN' time for the kids and volunteers involved! We're doing Croc Dock too at the end of July and we've been listening to the music (which is incredible) and gearing up our church congregation to get excited about it. The adult Bible classes. They offer practical living classes and in-depth Bible studies for the parents who aren't volunteering. It makes the program an outreach to the whole family, the whole community, rather than just the kids. I love it!
