One Family Walk. Down the road to a creek and back again. Three hours – worth every minute.

Toads caught: many

Snakes: a few

Crayfish: tons

Turtle: one (We rarely see turtles.)

Two hummingbird sightings at the feeder

Raspberries: coming!

Our baby chicks: getting bigger everyday (one died, though)

Anything resembling homeschooling – nada. No grammar, no math, no mommy-required reading. Except for today. This morning I felt like a bit of math. Tomorrow? Yet to be seen. There’s still much summer left for ignoring a math workbook.
