		<description>If it weren&#039;t for graphic novels I never would have gotten my son into reading! It was a nice bridge into real books, especially classics.

One series I discovered at the library (many are out of print now) is the Whole Story series. They are unabridged classics like Tom Sawyer and The Jungle Books, but they are set up like Eyewitness Books, where you have extra information on the margins. Really nice reads.
