Sign of the times: drive-in church

They could call it McChurch. Or Church King. I call it ridiculous. You can’t get out of your car and walk in the building? That poor pastor!

What do you think of this drive-in church?

  1. There’s a lot of things that keep me out of church, some of which I noticed you’ve written a bit about. It seems most are leading folks away, rather than toward Truth. Especially the young who are leaving in droves…

Anyway, reg. drive up church, for this I actually have to say something positive, believe it or not. Most of the folks there probably have no excuse & could get out of the car & go inside. However, when one has loud, special needs children that are not welcome in the service (& cannot/will not be put into nurseries & kids churches, which break up the family), something like that (if from a Bible based church teaching Truth) would be a blessing.

Just another, very odd, perspective LOL.

  2. Hi, Michele, thanks for commenting.

I think this pastor is doing the best he can in a world that keeps driving past his building.
Kuddos to him. Boo to the folks that make him stand out there.

As for children (special needs or not) in the service: If you aren’t attending a fellowship because your kids aren’t welcome with patience, understanding and love – then you need to find a family of believers that will. I know there are others that want to worship together as a family, without age segregation, so don’t give up!
