Hi Monica,
What a nice surprise: I have a standing "Google alert" search for my name and your blog popped up, along with the fact that you're reading Homeschooling on a Shoestring.

I know what you mean about family privacy. There were some good anecdotes on the "cutting room floor" for that reason. Now I'm a grandma and the book is having a 10-year anniversary, but I when I speak to groups, I still have to carefully consider what's private. By the way, Melissa and I are in the planning stage for an Internet radio show.

Best wishes on your blog!

thanks, Susan. I'm going to keep writing about homeschooling; I had a few comments on Facebook to encourage me to keep going, so I will.

I enjoyed this post- several things came to mind as I was reading it. First, I'm a big fan of day dreaming too. Used to do it when I got in bed before sleep claimed me. Lately I climb in bed and sleep hits me in the head immediately:)

I have older kids so my personal blog policy is that if I post anything that in anyway relates to them I ask them to read it before I publish. They all have the right to say, "No". Actually it works quite well because they are better at proof reading than I am.

I have not blogged as much directly about home schooling because I've been dealing with other issues. Recently I just started a separate blog for home schooling writing. I'm still working out what I feel is appropriate and safe to put out in a public forum. I personally like to read about home schooling but not when it is a sales pitch for curriculum.
