You’ve heard of Angry Birds? I give you Hungry Birds

I like to think Hitchcock would get a chuckle from our version of The Birds.

Let me set the scene for you: Last July. Island Beach State Park. Our beautiful Jersey Shore. Leftover lunch.

A boy always willing to try The Crazy.

Today’s post is inspired by my friend, Katey, buried in Idaho snow.

Read the entire Bible in only 90 days : sign up now

The next round of Read the Bible in 90 Days is starting soon – January 3, 2011. Are you up to the challenge?

I joined in with the summer group – and let me assure you – this is not a reading challenge for wimps. You will read a lot of Scripture daily. I think the average is ten chapters a day. But it’s totally do-able. You gotta hustle. You gotta work it with finding time to read, but the benefits! So many.

Discipline to read.

Spiritual growth.

Knowledge of the Story.

Why Jesus is so radical.

Believer: if you have never read the Bible in it’s entirety, I implore you to join this challenge.

Many people will be reading with you.

The community at Mom’s Tool Box is strong.

Many are on Twitter to encourage you.

There is accountability in the community.

Will I see you there?

30 Day Giving Challenge: Operation Christmas Child

This is my meager attempt to participate with everyone else in the 30 Day Giving Challenge.

I need a 30 Day get-off-your-lazy-butt-and-write-a-blog-post challenge.

Can someone make me a button for that?

Kidding.

Seriously, I’ve been thinking of giving, finding ways for the kids to give, even if I haven’t been chatty on the subject. Thankfully, AWANA gave us a great photo op when the kids made boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

Here are our boxes:

As you can see, I’m all about the privacy, no kids faces on the blog. That may change next week because that’s how undecided I am. Today – cropped, next week, who knows.

If I don’t post again until after Thursday (bwahahahaha) have a great Thanksgiving holiday. Don’t eat too much
